Chuck has collegiate experience on the NAIA and NCAA Division II levels. Chuck played locally at Kennedy King College, where he was noted as one of the top 150 junior college players in the country. He also received First Team All-Region honors as a freshman and NJCAA Division I All-Tournament honors in his sophomore season.

 

Chuck spent one season at New Mexico Highlands University (NCAA D-II) before transferring to Robert Morris University-Illinois for his final year where he helped RMU to a regular season and conference title, a No. 12 national ranking and an NAIA National Tournament appearance. Additionally, Chuck earned the NAIA National Champion of Character Award, All-Conference and All-Academic honors.
